Our Suspension Footbridge was inspired by our ‘Watkins Glen Starters Gantry’. When we were making the gantry, we had a couple of prototypes on the bench which happened to be facing each other, then we thought “What would it look like if we put two of them together to make a bridge?” and ‘boom’ this bridge was born out of that and I’m sure you would agree it looks pretty cool.
The only flaw, if you can call it that, was the steps coming straight back on each side which meant a huge layout would be needed to accommodate this product. So we developed a stair system that allows you to place the steps in different directions to help fit most layouts.
The bridge spans 2 lane Scalextric with Scalextric borders on both sides or 2 lane Carrera.
The kit comes with Mobil1 adverts for the stairs, and a bit Pirelli logo for the main bridge. If you wanted to put your own on there, you can just turn over that piece of wood and make your own advert.
