The #016 Start Gantry is a highly detailed model which is designed to be placed across the track at the start finish line. It can also be used as a generic advertising or lighting gantry anywhere on your track. We provide several options in the kit for banner and placement of lettering. We also provide a banner which allows you to fit 5mm LED lights (LED lights not supplied) so you can control your race starts in a realistic manner. The gantry is quite strong and stable and is easily constructed, but we would recommend you protect the bases from high speed crashes using armco or other barriers.

These gantries are very easy to be modified, if you want it lower you can cut height off the uprights with some simple wire cutters or a sharp scalpel knife, just be careful and take your time.
Painted option, The gantry frame will be painted white, then weathered and the start/finish boards will be painted black with white letters, unless you let us know otherwise at time of order. If you would like any changes please let us know at time of ordering. Our painting service normally takes 3-5 working days from order, then its is dispatched. If it will be any longer than this we will let you know asap, (it is very rarely more than 5 working days unless we need to order in something for a special request.)

After purchasing a half gantry and found it was easy to build I have now the start gantry which I have modified to reduced the span to 165mm, 2 lanes of scalextric track, it was a little tricky but well worth the time now painted it looks great.
